Dartmouth admitted 444 students to the Class of 2015 under its early decision program

The College has admitted 444 students to the Class of 2015 under its early decision program, the College announced in a press release on Tuesday. The figure marks a decrease from last year, in which 461 students were admitted.

The College received 1,759 early decision applications in this year's round, a 12-percent increase over applications for the Class of 2014, according to the release.

Approximately 25 percent of students who applied early decision to the College were accepted, compared to 29 percent in 2009.

Mean SAT scores declined six points, to 2144, from last year, according to the release. Forty percent of the Class of 2015 was admitted early decision.
